After all the basic furnishings, decided to have some fun getting boh liao things just to make the place a little more personalized. We spent a lot of time planning colours, items, DIY-ing furniture from that fabulous IKEA shop in Tampines. But little to speak of in terms of fun stuff.
After surfing the net, looking at www.apartmenttherapy.com for inspiration, reading a whole bunch of home interior mags, decided to get some fun stuff to line our rooms with. Then looked at www.urbanoutfitters.com, which has an apartment section. It features some funky eclectic items that smack of dormitory, hippie chic, with emphasis on alternative rock culture and some hints of handicraft-type work.

Some people have asked us about our colour scheme and what were the exact names of the colours. Well, we didn’t have a real plan. We took the catalog and started choosing colours we like and with an understanding that they might blend with each other. Phew they worked!
The brand of paint was ICI Dulux and the varieties were mixed, from Wash & Wear, All in One, to Pentalite. The predominant variety was All in one… I believe only Plum Satin was of the Pentalite variety.
Finally, listed below are the colours that we used and the swatches, courtesy of icipaints.com.sg

Recessed wall – Cool Slate
Window wal – Kiwi Gold

We spied this for a really long time… it went from not needed to would be nice to have to going to Dubai to see if it was cheaper there (unfortunately…it was!). Didn’t buy it then as we went through the same, should we or should we not indulge. Well, in the end, the Robinsons’ sales did the trick… hee hee…
so there you go, The Richardson Sheffield So Eat range of cutlery – “Chill”
